Someone on the Olympus mailing list posted this:

Which inevitable led to a few "euwww!" type comments, which in turn
produced this response:

"No, that's quite beautiful, you vertebrate chauvinist.
I sooooo tired of people who'll donate to 'save the koala' because
they're cute and cuddly (oh no they aren't) but wouldn't lift a finger
to save an endangered slug.
Shame on you sir."

Just thought I'd share that.

On the subject of animals with a bad press, did anyone else see the
camel dissection on telly last night? I found it fascinating.
